Wilander hospitalized

01/17/2012 - Melbourne, Australia (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Former tennis great Mats Wilander was admitted to a Melbourne hospital after falling at his apartment in Melbourne late Saturday.

The 47-year-old Wilander is being treated for a lacerated kidney and will be "out of commission for a while," according to a post on the Facebook page for his company, Wilander on Wheels. The post said he had some internal bleeding that stopped on Monday.

Wilander was supposed to host a daily highlight television show for Eurosport at the 2012 Australian Open, which commenced Monday in Melbourne. The seven- time Grand Slam champion captured three Aussie Open titles from 1983-88.

The Swedish native Wilander, who resides in Idaho, won three of the four Grand Slam events back in 1988.
